A good steak

by @ 12:00 pm. Filed under Daily life

Thanks, Nance!

It appears that I really am getting better, knock on wood. My eyes and skin are very close to their normal color again, my itching is vastly reduced, and my pee is generally light.

I’m still waiting on the poo thing.

I’m not nauseated at all, and I’m back to having the things (salads, cottage cheese, tea, and coffee are but a few) that had been making me feel grossed out. I lifted weights yesterday, then walked my normal 2.5-mile route, and today I was able to run for over a mile before reverting to walking the rest of the time.

Thankyajesus.

For the record: When you’re walking at 3:15 in the morning, along an unlit creepy walkway that runs betwixt a woodsy boggy area and a big empty school, listening to one of the most frightening parts of Black House and being really into it, and a big daddy bullfrog belches out something that sounds remarkably like your name as the sound filters through your headphones to your ears, it’s pretty fucking scary.

So you know.

The New York Strip at Lone Star I had last night must’ve been about the finest not-cooked-by-me steaks I’ve ever had. I gave some serious consideration to licking the plate when I was done, but I didn’t want to make a spectacle of myself. Two thumbs up. This thing is WAY better than their signature ribeye, which you can only eat about half of because the rest is fat. I left a piece of fat from the New York Strip that was about one bite’s worth, and even then there was still a little meat attached.

Highly recommended.

And now, since this entry is so boring it’s just about put me to sleep, I’m ending it. I have many things to do today - coloring hair, cutting grass, buying a new spring wardrobe, and having my parents over, to name a few - so I should probably go get started. Hopefully something remotely interesting will happen in all that, so the next time you hear from me I might be able to keep you awake.

Have a great weekend.
