Adventures in freakdom.
August 20, 2003
This morning, I woke up pretty early, at a little past 3 am. I pretty much instantly knew I wasn’t going to be going right back to sleep, so I decided to get up and do my weightlifting for the day (arms and shoulders, woo!), then see if perhaps I could snooze afterwards until time to get up for work. My workout kicked my ass in a big way, and I promptly fell into a deep sleep almost as soon as I lay back down an hour or so later.
Whereupon I had a vivid dream in which Mr. Fancypants returned home. We were all acting like fools, hugging on him and taking pictures to put online with the caption "He’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!" There was even a little scene between he and I where I was holding him by the paws and spinning in a slow-motion circle like the woman and the lizard in the GEICO commercial.
And then I woke up, and for one or two minutes I knew he was back, and I was all excited about getting to hold him and tell everyone. And then I realized it was a dream.
And that sucked.
In other news: hello Sweden, and welcome aboard.
Robyn and I went stalking last night in the Barnes and Noble. I leave you today with images of what we found there. Have a great night.

Hiding in the local author section.

Look! It’s me!

I was also in the diet/fitness section.

Right next to that 8 minute guy and below Dr. Atkins.

And then, right out front on a table of "notable" books.

I was hanging out next to Chrissy, and above a stereotypical
yellow-dog liberal book.
