How would you like us to send the money?
Lori, all the details are on Robyn’s site (at the end), in the last link in my entry. Thanks in advance.
Such a pretty girl. You did good things for her and her babies. My check is on the way.
I don’t understand how it could be the antifreeze, after more than a month of nursing babies! My cat got into antifreeze, and he was gone within 3 days.
I’m not trying to undermine a vet, I’m no vet, but they say antifreeze is deadly FAST!
If it was the antifreeze, then you have a miracle cat that knew it needed to stay alive and feed it’s babies before her life was taken. That’s wild.
Robyn, everything I found on Google seemed to indicate the 3-day thing, too. What I’m wondering is if (a) she only had enough to hurt her initially, then the stress of birth / spaying / feeding etc caused an overload, or (b) that she had a congenital problem with her kidneys that was exacerbated by stress or something. I hate not knowing more than anything.
Sorry for your loss. Could the vet do a necropsy?
Wow the whole antifreeze thing is scary. If it is true are the kittens in any danger since they were nursing? We had a cat that seemed to have something similar happen, and that was renal failure. Either way, I’m sorry.
I would think that Mia’s death had more to do with her spaying then the antifreeze, I have enjoyed all her pics and the kittens too.
